I have owned Cork Pops wine openers for over twenty years. This is only my second one - I would still use the first one but alas, the ex took it.
This is how it works. Place the cartridge into the wine opener. Position the opener over the cork. Stick the syringe through the cork (all the way down, so the CO2 can create pressure) and then press the plunger button. Hear a pop and voila!
One of the things that I particularly like about this opener is that the cork comes out very smooth and prevents cork disintegration. No more "cork dust" in your wine!
Fun Fact: Using Cork Pops to open a wine bottle always blows away my guests. It is one of those "wow, how did that work" moments of awe!
