Dalstrong Santoku Knife - 7 inch - Shogun Series

My brother in law is quite the gourmet chef and really enjoys making meals for the family. A few years ago I wanted to treat him to some new knives. They became his most prized possession.

I spent quite a bit of time researching what knives would suit him best. There are several brands that I have a great experience with but I wanted his knives to have a hefty feel and for a lack of better words, manly look. 

I first purchased one knife, and then all subsequent birthdays and holidays I gifted him another one. I could have spared myself the expense and just bought this set instead.  

The knives are incredibly well made. I was curious about their origin and found that Dalstrong knives are made in Yangjiang, China, a city known as the "Capital of Knives and Scissors". Yangjiang has a long history of knifemaking that dates back almost 1500 years.  The steel used in Dalstrong knives comes from various countries, including Japan, Germany, and the United States.
