I have owned this carry-on for over two years, I just own a slightly different style. I have been impressed, and always get comments on its looks.
I am quite picky about my luggage. I travel a lot, especially internationally, to visit family in Europe.
My favorite Delsey carry-on left along my ex, and I knew I wanted one again that has the front pocket. I came along this brand and gave it a try and have been very happy with its use.
The biggest diference on this one *IS* the front pocket - because it is the main and only opening to the carry-on. I really loved the idea of not having to unfold the carry-on clamshell-style and lay it flat to reach for items, pack or unpack. Now that I tried the idea for a few years, I am not going back.
I want to point out that this carry-on goes further with the flap design than other brands. The outer zipper opens the compartment for your laptop and tablet, and there you also find the inner zipper, that secures everything else. In other words, this is how you pack/unpack; there is no around-sides zipper.
Why is it so convenient:
* more space efficient. My large cosmetics pouch or bulky shoes would not fit well in either half of a traditional carry-on. With this carry-on, you have just one large space instead of two small ones.
* you can unzip the flap to reach for something and don't need to unfold the whole carry-on. For example, you can keep the carry-on in an airplane overhead compartment, unzip the flap and quickly get what's needed.
* you need less space to pack or unpack. Need a quick change in the bathroom? No problem. Now you need half the space, since your carry-on doesn't unfold.
In addition, I get so many comments on this carry-on. Just like I, others appreciate its design. The brand offers several versions and several colors. I own off-white. There is another style of this same carry-on as well with a vertical opening, the one I own.
I love this concept so much that I am considering getting a large suitcase as well!
