Hydro Flask Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Flex Straw Cap

I have used multiple brands of reusable water bottles. Hydro Flask has slowly replaced all of them.

It is quite possible that you already own multiple reusable bottles. You may want to rethink some of them. 

You see, the safest material for storing liquid and foods is glass, which is quite impractical for carrying around beverages. The next best choice is 100% food grade stainless steel, like the one in Hydro Flask.

There are many brands that offer 100% food grade stainless steel (sometimes noted as 18/8 stainless steel). But it is not the only thing you should worry about.

Recall the big hoopla with some of them, like the Stanley cups and lead? The issue was the material used in a sealant of the vacuum insulation. And this is why I chose to have Hydro Flask as opposed to any other brand. They do not use lead in the vacuum-sealing process of their insulated bottles. Per their website in fact, they have not used lead-containing sealant since 2012.

This is a big deal. Lead is a hormone disruptor and avoiding exposure, no matter how small, is highly desirable - especially if it is with a product that you use every day. 

This is why I chose Hydro Flask as my go-to brand for reusable bottles.  Plus, they come in every color of the rainbow.

I like this water bottle to take for work outs and hikes. I love the wide mouth top as it makes it easy to pour in liquids and add ice. The straw clicks into place so I know there won't be any leaks. The silicone straps on top is pleasant to the touch and makes it easy to carry.

PRO TIP: Wash with soap and water. Any powdercoated tumbler and bottle is dishwasher safe and the lid/straw are top-rack dishwasher safe.
